Eating seafood on the beach in Jimbaran is one the must do itinerary during Bali trip. There are many seafood restaurants with tables are set up right on the sand and if you sit at the lowest tables at high tide, you can even get your feet wet. We don't have any preference, therefore we requested our driver, Made Jiwa (Tel: +628123668893) recommended the seafood restaurant with good price and delicious food which was New Matahari Cafe.

The restaurant offers menu such as fire-grilled seafood with your own choice of various fish, crab, squid, shrimp, lobster and other shellfish. We took the set with two coconuts that cost Rp345K.
Vegetables soup(Not nice, I think the vegetables are too raw)
Grilled seafood-fish, shrimp, lobster, squid, crab(The seafood is fresh but the taste average, just like normal BBQ and it's cold)

It was nice atmosphere to enjoy the food but too bad the food just at the average level. You can enjoy the cold sea breeze and natural song of the sea. You should come to experience the environment if it is your first time to Bali but remember come for the atmosphere, not the food. I think the food in Ole-Ole Bali, Solaris is better than here. Many people come to Jimbaran Bay for sunset while eating dinner, probably I will come again for this reason.

@jfook: Ya...cold and taste just average. Maybe the sea breeze make the food become cold faster.
maybe the food there don't really suit Malaysian taste bud.
@Anne Lee: Actually Balinese food quite similar with Malaysian food. I think they didn't maintain the quality of food because they just focus on how to earn tourists' money.
