Goodbye Centegy

It's been a month since I left Centegy, but I still will like to thank all my ex bosses and colleagues for my farewell dinner.

I really appreciate all the attendees for the dinner, especially Chris, Wendy and Steven. I grew a lot under their guidance and support. Besides work, we all just like friends in private. Time for me to get out to explore other opportunities but I will never forget people that taught and helped me before. Once again, thank you so much.

Good Evening Bangkok@One Utama

On 04.05.2012(Thursday), Steve, Jean and I have a surprise birthday celebration for Huey Ying. Jean and I arrived Good Evening Bangkok, One Utama after Huey Ying and Steve have been seated, like we coincidentally were having dinner at the same place. Photobucket Good Evening Bangkok served authentic Thai cuisine and it is located at Ground Floor, New Wing.

Here we are

yummy yummy Photobucket

Cozy environment

Photobucket
Mieng Kam(RM15.90)-This traditional snack is good, you should put the sauce inside and outside to make it savory.

Photobucket
Royal Money Bag(RM8.90)-Crunchy, dumpling is my all time favorite.

Photobucket
Green Curry Chicken(RM15.90)-not too hot and it goes well with white rice.

Photobucket
Mee Hoon in Tom Yam Seafood(RM16)-acceptable spicy and fresh seafood.

Photobucket
Tom Yam River Prawn 4-5pax(RM15)-the taste of sour and spicy just nice.

Photobucket
Steamed Thai Jasmine Rice(RM3 per pax)-wish to eat more but need to cut down carbohydrate.

Besides Japanese food, I like spicy and fried food. Therefore, I can't resist Thai cuisine especially the tom yam and mango sticky rice. The food were delicious and suitable with our Malaysian taste. I can finish three bowls of rice with only just tom yam soup. The service was good, probably due to not so crowded during weekdays. Environment is comfortable and spacious. Lastly, the price is quite reasonable for a meal in One Utama.

PhotobucketThe place is happening as always especially on Friday.

Photobucket
Summertime Salad (RM20)-Great starter and you will feel like you are under the sea

Photobucket
Chicken Cordon Blue(RM23)-Chicken and ham cover the yummy sausage and cheese, it should be more cheesy

Photobucket
Sake San Pizza (11"-RM32)-This is my all time favorite-fresh salmon, vegetables, mayonnaise and shocking wasabi

Photobucket
Last but not least me with fluffy hair because it was heavy rain on that day

Souled Out started up the first restaurant in Mont Kiara in year 1996. The restaurant is famous of cozy environment, delicious food and friendly service. When the restaurant expanded, it moved to Desa Sri Hartamas with two levels and bigger compound. Last year, they have another new branch in Menara HSC, Jalan Ampang. If you are celebrating your birthday in Souled Out, friendly waiters and waitress will sing birthday song and take photo for you as memory.

Antipodean Café@Bangsar

On 29.10.2011 (Saturday), Melanie brought Daniel and I to Antipodean, Bangsar as birthday treat. Antipodean is a Kiwi/Australian style of cafe serving the best quality coffee (Flatwhites, Picolo's, shortblacks) and breakfast. It is located same row as La Bodega, Jalan Telawi 2.

The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was 'wow' with the crowd and felt more interested to find out the taste of food. The restaurant is famous with Big Breakfast and coffee. It was full with coffee aroma. If you miss the breakfast time which is 11am, you still can enjoy the All Day Breakfast.

Photobucket
It's pack with people. Good food is worth to be waited. Please be patient.

Photobucket
Menu written on the wall, sometimes you need to stand up to read it.

Photobucket
This should be one of the healthy juices but I forget the name-RM12

Photobucket
Flat White-RM8 (Must try, you also can ask for butterfly or maple leave latte art)

Photobucket
Soda Lime-RM8

Photobucket
All Day Breakfast (toast, baked beans, scrambled eggs & grilled tomatoes with bacon)-RM18

Photobucket
Smoked Salmon (roost veges & chickpeas salad)

Photobucket
All Day Breakfast (toast, baked beans, scrambled eggs & grilled tomatoes with pork sausage)-RM18

Photobucket
Cheese & Mushroom Omelets-RM17

I love the food here, it was delicious and the portion was big. Personally I like the bacon, pork sausage and scrambled eggs (I'm a egg lover). Then, is it over price? I don't think so because it's compatible with its taste and delightful meal. It's definitely a great place for people who always eat brunch like me. If you want to avoid the breakfast crowd, you can come during dinner time because breakfast is served the whole day.

Thanks Melanie!

La Bodega Deli@Bangsar

On 21.10.2011(Friday), I was spending my birthday eve with a bunch of good friends, Berry, Daniel and Eamonn at La Bodega Deli, Bangsar. It was my first time eating here and I heard many good comments about the food.

Photobucket
Here we are

Photobucket

Photobucket
Let's have Sangri with Red Wine(RM56 per jug)

Photobucket
We ordered Tapas Promotion-Choose any three tapas dishes served with Fiduea for two (RM80)

Photobucket
Tapas goes well with the bread and the bread is refillable

Photobucket
Fiduea is basically angel hair pasta cooked in paella with seafood. I love it.

Photobucket
Paella de pescado (RM60), Spanish rice cooked with seafood such as prawns, clams, and huge mussels. It took 30 minutes for preparation.

It was a pleasant and delicious dinner during the cold raining night. I can't find any other tasty Paella de pescado other than La Bodega. You should try it because you can taste the Spanish without heading to Spain. It seems like very long time that four of us sit down talk about everything. We went to Coffee Bean after the dinner to continue our chit chatting. I found that the more we grow up, the less time we spend together like previously.

Lovely Cupcakes (Berry passed by many tolls to get it)
