My Penny of View : Story began with recordings of the film's characters about the reason they dance. Then moved on to Moose and Camille who were previously from Step Up 1 & 2, they were heading to New York University to complete their studies and Moose promised his mother that he would not dance anymore. Later, he stumbled upon a dance battle and met up with Luke and his House of Pirates dance crew. Moose couldn't hide about his interests towards dance and later teamed up with them to compete in the World Jam dance contest against their rivals, the House of Samurai dance crew. Luke met Natalie at the club and quickly he discovered her dancing abilities. Then he enrolled her to be part of his crew to win the dance contest. All the crew members were practising hardly to ensure the winning. Luke and Natalie slowly developed feeling to each other but actually Natalie have motive for getting closer with Luke. On the other hand, Moose was having difficulties to maintain studies and dancing. His best friend-Camille even misunderstood him for not to pay attention for their friendship. Will the House of Pirates win the dance contest? What exactly is the motive behind of Natalie?

First of all, I need to clarify that I was not watching the normal 3D which you need to put on the glasses. The title of the movie sounds a bit confusing but it try to tell you that the film was shot in digital version (3D) although you are watching 2D version. Get it?

As usual, the story line for this kind of dance film is very simple to understand because audiences definitely will put more attention on the dancing and the ending was predictable. I like to see people dance because myself can't dance so well like these professionals. I was enjoying myself on the great moves and stunning visuals. I think the effects will even better if you are going to watch the actual 3D. The morales of the story were good people will always win, team spirit is very important to encounter a difficult task, never give up, never hide your true feelings and live the life of your dreams. I'm felt motivated after watch the movie. So you guys should watch it then maybe you will "I like to move it...move it..." like King Julian.

My Penny of View : Story began with Dean who sat in a cafe who didn't sleep for continuous hours. His girlfriend, Kris came into the cafe and wanted to talk to Dean about what is going on. While they was talking, Dean spilt coffee on Kris and she went to washroom to clean up. Suddenly Dean fell asleep and he met a guy covered in burn scars who was wearing a red and green sweater, and a clawed glove on his hand. The burned man haunted Dean and made him afraid to sleep. Then the man cut Dean's throat in the dream but in reality Dean cut himself. Nancy, the waitress saw the whole incident and Kris was so sad for Dean's death. On Dean's funeral, Kris saw a little girl who happened actually she was herself when she was little. Then she saw a picture of Dean with her but in her memory, she didn't meet Dean before high school. Ever since, Kris had nightmare of the same burned man and she can feel that the man was threatening her life because she saw what happened to Dean. "You die in dream and you die for real." Then Kris also died when she was sleeping. The killing seems like continuous among these kids. How to stop it? Why is the burned man want to kill the kids?

This movie is a remake of the same title 1984 film. Freddy Krueger was the burned guy that stalked Nancy and friends dream. His face was horrified and he got the sharp clawed glove that can kill a man. He only can kill people when the people is sleeping. The sound effect was pretty good. Whenever come the scene of Freddy Krueger haunted the people, the sound was sudden and scary. Somehow, after a few appearance of Freddy, I don't find him scary anymore. My favourite parts were those killing scenes. They were art but some people will think yucks. One of them was when Kris get killed. Before that her body spun in the air and then the sharp clow cut her body, then all the blood spilt out. Another one was the final scene which Freddy killed Nancy's mom by stick his claw into the eyes. It was shocked and terrified.

Another funny thing I kept telling my friend while watching the movie was the girl wearing non waterproof mascara. So, when she cried due to scare, the eyes looks like panda eyes. Overall, it was not as frightening as I expected. Anyway, you still can catch the movie if you have no idea what is the story about. Probably it will bring you nightmare too.

My Penny of View : This was a zombie comedy of year 2009. The movie just like other zombie movies such as Resident Evil, 28 Days/Weeks Later or Dawn of Dead, human affected by a virus either engineered or a force sent by Nature that we have turned into angry blood-lusting zombies that eager to eat up other human. The movie was about adventures of four survivors of Z Land-Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock heading to Pacific Playland in Los Angeles, an amusement park which rumored to be zombie-free zone. The timid Columbus came up 33 rules to survive in Z Land including Cardio (The first ones to go were the fatties, said Columbus), Double Tap, Wear Seat belts, Beware of Bathrooms, No Attachments, Cast Iron Skillet, Travel Light, Bounty paper towels, Bowling Ball, Don't Be a hero, Limber Up, When in doubt, know your way out, The Buddy System, Check the back seat, Enjoy the little things, Swiss Army knife and others which did not stated in the film. These rules appeared on-screen with special effects in the movie that never been seen in other comedy horrors.

Appearance of Bill Murray lightened up the movie. He was famous of Ghostbusters movie and voice for Garfield the movie.



It was so funny when Little Rock asked who is Bill Murray.

Little Rock : "Who's Bill Murray?"
Tallahassee : "I've never hit a kid before... I mean, that's like asking who Gandhi is."
Little Rock : "Who's Gandhi?"

After you listened to this conversation, definitely you will fall down from you seat. When Columbus accidentally killed Bill Murray, he mentioned that he was never a good practical joker and when asked what was his regrets, he said "Garfield, maybe". Another funny dialogue from the movie was Columbus said that there was no status update in Facebook because all human has become zombie.

It was a fun and exciting movie. The teenagers beside me were so exciting when they saw the zombies chasing the human. They made me felt like enjoyable too with the movie. I'm highly recommend this comedy horror for those who want to release tension.

My Penny of View : This romantic comedy film started with Abby-TV producer who has everything except love in her life. She accidentally saw a local television show-The Ugly Truth run by Mike whose criticised about the true story of man and woman relationship after disaster date. She called into the show and argued with him. The next day, Mike has been hired by the Abby's station owner to boost up the ratings.

Abby and Mike have different opinion about relationship. Abby met her dream guy-Colin who is living next to her. Mike bet with Abby if she follows his lead to get the man she wants, proving his theories on relationships, she will work happily with him, but if Mike fails, he agrees to quit the job. During the process, Abby and Mike gradually developed their relationship. When they when out for a business trip, Abby realised that Colin might be her dream guy but all the while she was just pretending to be women that Colin likes and their heart was not connected. After that trip, Abby broke up with Colin and Mike quit for another station. They met again during an outdoor broadcast. Finally they put down their ego and get back together.

This movie reflected the truth of relationship, both of parties looking for different things in relationship. We have to admit that we all attracted to beautiful creature. So the first thing you need to attract the one you like, you have to make sure you are in the perfect shape. Then, communication skill (or flirting skill) is important to find out the one you attracted to whether he has the same interest or mindset as you. Maybe sometimes you have pretend a bit to make sure the relationship work out. You can say it kinda shallow but this is the ugly truth. You definitely can't miss this romantic comedy film of year 2009.

Advertlets Screening : Angels and Demons

Thanks to Advertlets for the movie invite and Krispy Kreme for the free donuts. This was my very first Advertlets event and I finally met Josh Lim the founder or boss of Advertlets. I was so excited because I got to watch the movie two days earlier before anyone else. There was a minor prizes giving before the movie start. The first prize was Sony Cyber-shot™ Skinny-T worth RM 1299. My last experience watched movie premier was The Da Vinci Code. Nowadays, they have many rules-no handphone, no camera and no laptop. You need to go through the body check by RELA before you enter the hall. This is to ensure nobody can do the recording. The worst part was when the movie ended, everyone rush to get back own belongings. This is very troublesome. Anyway, I enjoy myself and I hope I can join more events that organize by Advertlets in the future.

My Penny of View : Tom Hanks returns with another Dan Brown's novel-Angels and Demons. I was looking forward for this movie because Tom Hanks is such a great actor from Cast Away to The Terminal. The movie started with death of the Pope of Vatican City. Therefore, they have to elect the new Pope. The four most possible candidates have missing and they received the threatening video which showed the activated nuclear weapon somewhere in Vatican City. It was so powerful until it can destroy the Vatican City. Tom Hanks responsible to save the four missing candidates and find the nuclear weapon together with Ayelet Zurer-the physician. The clues was the Path of Illumination which consists the four elements : Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. Finally Tom able to save the forth cardinal and solve the whole threatening action. The bad guy got his punishment.

This movie is easier to understand if compare with The Da Vinci Code. All the church and Pope are related to religion. If you watch it with open heart, this is a great mystery movie. Additional Tom Hanks's acting is so amazing, he make the whole story become alive. The most memorable scene was the explosion in the sky, it was so beautiful. Besides, the statues and churches are the ancient art of Rome. I found from wikipedia stated the differences between book and movie. Let's take a look.

* The Camerlengo in the movie is Irish, not Italian.
* The first murder does not take place in the man's apartment in the movie.
* Robert Langdon saves the life of the 4th Cardinal in the movie.
* The story of the parentage of the Camerlengo does not come out in the movie.
* Many of the scenes in the movie have many police around, but in the book Robert and Victoria are alone.
* In the book a BBC reporter and videographer play a major role. They are not in the movie.
* The head of CERN plays no role in the movie.
* Vittoria doesn't wear shorts in the movie.
* The assassin is not shot in the foot.
* The assassin is not nearly as large as described in the book.
* The assassin does not kidnap Vittoria in the movie.
* Robert is not nearly drowned by the assassin.
* Robert is not trapped under a marble casket in the movie.
* Robert does not go up into the helicopter with the Camerlengo in the movie.
* Robert doesn't jump out of the helicopter in the movie.
* The name of many characters differ from the book.
