Ad: Talent Corp SFCF Oct 2013

On 12th Nov 2013 (Sunday), TalentCorp and UiTM held Sector Focused Career Fair on career opportunities in Shared Services and Outsourcing at UiTM Shah Alam Campus. It is an initiative by TalentCorp to create career awareness and educate public especially the university students on the opportunity that exist in Shared Services and Outsourcing (SSO). There are 11 National Key Economic Areas (NKEAs), which including Oil & Gas, Electronics & Electrical, IT, Telecommunication, Biotechnology, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare, Tourism, FMCG & Education.

There were events such as Career Talks and Couch Corner Slot. Career Talks is a platform developed for the young generation to engage with prominent industry leaders, while the Couch Corner Slot was designed for the visitors, especially students, to interact with the companies in a relaxing atmosphere. All visitors have opportunities to meet with CEOs and Senior HR Representatives of participating companies to understand further about the market need and opportunity. SFCF UiTM is supported by more than 30 companies, including AIG, DHL, Electrolux, Frost & Sullivan, GlaxoSmithKline, HP, IBM, LaFarge, Sime Darby and PwC.

The event was kicked start with dialogue session with YB Senator Dato’ Sri Abdul Wahid bin Omar, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department. Dato’ Sri Wahid shared his thoughts on measurements and approaches to accelerate Malaysia’s socio-economic development. This has to be progressed in a strategic and sustainable manner to achieve the vision of a transformed economy.

This event is good and beneficial fresh graduates that are going to expose to actual workplace, in order they can more prepared for the expectations of the employer. Job market has transformed from traditional company setting into centralized operation based on region to accommodate the fast moving business and also to optimize the available the resources to generate the highest profit of a company. Malaysia is one of the potential country as Shared Services hub due to our language capability and unique nation. Therefore, continuous learning and collaboration are very important in nation development.

Mickey Mouse Exhibition@Mid Valley

On 03.06.2012(Sunday), me, Momo and mom went to Mid Valley to see the Mickey Mouse Exhibition. Mickey Mouse always is the all time favorite cartoon no matter how old you are. Both Momo and I wore Mickey Mouse shirt to attend.

The exhibition was located at the center court of Mid Valley, from 24 May – 10 June 2012. It was a partnership of HSBC Bank Malaysia and Fun Characters International for the “Mickey Mouse Through The Years Project 2012″. It was displaying over 350 6-inch, numbers of 6-feet and a 10-feet tall colorful ‘painted-on” Mickey Mouse figurines.

There were many different patterns of Mickey other than the above photos. Although the exhibition is over, but some of the Mickey Mouse figurines are still displaying in some of the corner of Mid Valley. That day I saw a Batman Mickey Mouse but forgot to take photo. You can still check it out if you miss out the exhibition.

National Achievers Congress 2012

National Achievers Congress 2012 was held at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre from 29-31 May 2012. I was lucky to win a Gold ticket from Popular Book.

Why I was attracted by this event? It was because of Robert Kiyosaki, the famous author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Money is never enough but working for people for the whole life won't get you out from the life of paying taxes and bills. Definition of rich should be someone who has sustainable cash flow and valuable assets. Investment is not a gambling if you have done your homework and keep on practicing. Money is never enough.



There were 15 speakers for the three full days event. The topics were most related to investment and motivation. Sometimes you will feel motivated by these great speakers. This year Robert Kiyosaki attended the event with his wife, Kim Kiyosaki. The chemistry between Robert and Kim was great and they demonstrated the easiest way to earn from real estate property but I still find it quite confusing. Anyway, listen to people's experience and put effort to study will get what you want. Practice makes perfect but first let's gather some capital.

I captured a funny moment of Robert and Kim. Previously, I heard when two persons be together for very long time, they will imitate each other unconsciously. Both of them have the same presentation pattern. Obviously they are a loving couple. I wish to listen to Robert's talk again.

KFC Snax Fest

On 02.06.2012 (Saturday), thanks to Nuffnang, I was invited to the media launch of the newly revamped KFC Snax. Therefore the event is named as the KFC SNAX Fest which is took place at Dataran Petaling Jaya. The event was officiated by Tuan Sheik Sharufuddin bin Sheik Mohd, Executive Director of KFC Holdings (Malaysia) Bhd and Mr Alan Au, Deputy President of KFC Peninsular Malaysia.
