My Penny of View : A team of treasure hunter was exploring the wreck of Titanic, searching for the Heart of the Ocean but they only found some sketches. An old woman heard about the news and came to the salvage ship. While she was looking at the sketches, she recalled back her time aboard the Titanic. Back to 1912 when Titanic was first sailing on the ocean, Rose was on board with her mother and fiance. On the other hand, Jack won Titanic ticket from a gambling. Rose was unwilling to marry to her fiance and she wanted to suicide. Coincidentally Jack was there and he stopped her for doing that. That was first meeting between Rose and Jack. What will happen to them?

This movie was produced 15 years ago. After so many years, I still amazed with the magnificent shooting and great story line. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet were so young; and never forget talented director, James Cameron. It still the best movie after Avatar. This movie is exactly the same old movie with some add on 3D effects which it's not that easy to see, with digital quality but when I was watching the movie again, I was thinking how James Cameron able to do it with limited technology? 15 years later, there is no other movie able to beat Titanic. Don't forget the hits song, My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. The scene of a bunch of musicians insisted to play songs to comfort the passengers until the ship sank make my tears drop. Maybe because I play music too. Another short scene make me feel touching is an old couple hold tightly with each other when death approach them. It was such a great movie but this is a clean version because it needs to show in Malaysia cinema.

My Penny of View : In an assignment named Cobalt in Budapest, an IMF Agent killed by an assassin. On another side, Agent Ethan Hunt was rescued from a Moscow prison by Jane and Benji. The reason he has been rescued was to finish up the Cobalt assignment. They were required to go to Moscow Kremlin archives to locate files identifying Cobalt. During the mission, someone interrupted the IMF frequency and alerted the Russians. Ethan, Jane and Benji successfully escaped but they have been identified as the planner for the bombing. The Russians called the attack as undeclared act of war and the US president activated Ghost Protocol to disavow the entire IMF. What will happen to Ethan, Jane and Benji? Will they manage to solve the tension between Russia and US as well as save IMF?

Who don't know about handsome Tom Cruise with his famous act, Mission Impossible? The theme song is another symbol of the movie. Usually I won't have too much of expectations for this kind of continuous movie because the story line is always the same. The secret agent needs to complete an extraordinary mission, after so many obstacles, he will solve it in the stylist way. Beautiful and sexy lady girl is always one of the most important character in the movie. However, I can tell you that the movie is above my expectations. The action sequences are heart-stirring, exciting and fun. Tom Cruise scales the outside of the Burj Khalifa tower, which is the tallest building in the worldstuck at the high rise building in Dubai was thrilling and the multi-level parking garage was another unforgettable scene. After so many years, the charming Tom Cruise is getting older and fatter but his smile still can kill many girls and his actions still quick and nimble.

My Penny of View : Two fisherman caught a man in their fishing net and the man claimed that he served Juan Ponce de León who reported died 200 years ago. The man said the exploration crew found the Fountain of Youth. The man was brought to the Spanish King and the king ordered his Secret Service to find the fountain. On the other hand, Gibbs has been mistaken as Captain Jack Sparrow and he was put on a trial. Captain Jack showed up by pretending as a judge and put Gibbs under life prison and transferred Gibbs to jail under minimum security. During the planned escape, both of them were arrested by crown forces. They brought Captain Jack to the British King. The king wanted Captain Jack to guide the British expedition to find the Fountain of Youth with Captain Hector who lost a leg and the Black Pearl. Captain Jack successfully escaped and he found out that the impostor was his former love, Angelica. After escaping from the crown forces, Angelica put Captain Jack to sleep and brought him on board the Queen Anne's Revenge which commanded by the cruel Blackbeard. What will happen to Captain Jack? Will he able to find the Fountain of Youth?

It is the first Pirates of the Caribbean film to be released in 3D since the last movie in 2007. Captain Jack Sparrow who walks with a slightly drunken swagger and has slurred speech and flailing hand gestures back in action with more exciting story. The story was interesting. In this movie, the pirates were exploring the journey to find the Fountain of Youth. During the exploration journey, they met mermaids. I think that scene was heart thrilling, the mermaids were fast and cruel. The legendary Blackbeard made appearance for the the first time. I was amazed by his mysterious power to control the Queen Anne's Revenge. However, the whole movie was quite dark. So, don't watch this movie when you are tired or sleepy. This film has nice scenery because it was filmed at Hawaii. The soul of the movie is Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. I can say "He did it again." No one else is able to carry the role of Captain Jack Sparrow as good as Johnny Depp. After this movie, I'm looking forward for his next expedition. One more thing, watch 2D is just good enough because the film is interesting with the story and characters, not the 3D effects.

Magnum Live Draw

Yesterday I was such an honor to be invited as guest to witness the Magnum Live Draw for 12.02.2011 (Saturday) at Wisma Magnum. We were been given some briefing about how they carry out the draw. To ensure it is a fair draw, they need to be very careful on every single details including weight of the balls, security of the room and who is going to press the start button. My Penny of View : Flynn was an innovative software programmer. One night, he disappeared mysteriously and left his son, Sam haunted by his disappearance. 20 years later, Flynn's friend, Alan received a page from Flynn's pager. Therefore, Sam went to find out about the mysterious page. When he arrived at Flynn's Arcade, he activated the laser and transported him to the Grid, a world existing inside the computer. Later Sam has been caught and sent to the Gladiatorial Games. What will happen to Sam? Will he survive?

This movie is a sequel to the 1982 film Tron. OK, I not yet born. So, I was totally no idea about the story. Sometimes I found that if I watch a movie this way will give me more surprises. Anyway, it's a 3D movie and I was looking forward for excellent 3D effects. For this movie, not all the scenes were in 3D but you still need to wear the glasses during the whole movie. The 3D effects was good, you always can see a lot of neon lights. I'm impress with the high technology that used in the movie. Further, sound effects was good too. It made me heart thrilling and felt nervous for the chasing scenes. I personally think that they should cut down the talking parts plus due to no subtitle for 3D movie, I fell asleep for a few minutes. Overall, it was good with condition you like this kind of computer game movies.

We were sitting at quite a good spot in the beginning. When the Red Carpet session, we have been asked to change to another table. It was slightly disappointed because we left the good spot for the show. Anyway, it was great to meet the Magnum crew. Now I know who is the one responsible for the Facebook and Twitter. It was great to meet up with Amelia too.

There were many guests and VVIP attended the event. Ben is friendly and cute in real person. Henry Golding also came for this event, he smiled at me and he is awesome.
