Movie Review-吓到笑(Where Got Ghost?)

I'm kinda looking forward for this movie because Jack Neo's movies always teach all of us moralistic messages especially after watched the teaser from this movie.

Release Date : 11 September 2009--->Watch on 21 September 2009 (Monday), 2pm at Big Cinema, Brem Mall
Language : Mandarin, English
Running Time : 1 hour 40 minutes
Director : Jack Neo, Boris Boo

My Penny of View : This movie consists three parts-Roadside Got Ghost, Forest Got Ghost and House Got Ghost. The first story-Roadside Got Ghost was about three guys came out a scam by making random calls telling people the winning numbers. One day, they have received a same tactic of call. They bought the number but they ignored the request from the call. Finally, the ghost that gave the number came back to take everything from him. The moral of the story is there is no free meal in this world, you have to work hard for it.

The second story-Forest Got Ghost was about two reservists on a topological exercise lost in a dirty forest. They tried to find the way out of the forest but they ignored the Superior's advice and used the 'short cut'. They met the ghost and they have scarified their life for using the 'short cut'. The moral of the story is there is no 'short cut' in every journey to succeed.

The final story-House Got Ghost was continuity of Money Not Enough 2. The deceased mother did not grant the three brother's 'get rich' dream but they felt spooky of their own mother during the Lunar 7th Month. They even felt they have no time to take care of the altar and decided to put it at the temple. In the end, they almost get killed in a road trip and thanks to their deceased mother's blessing, they escaped from the landslide. The moral of the story is family is very important, they always will give us blessing no matter they are in form human or ghost. Photobucket

Overall, the story lines were quite expected. This movie was not perfect like other Hollywood ghost movie and the budget of the film made the ghost looks fake. Anyway, my family and I enjoyed the movie and we will keep support Jack Neo's movie.
