My Penny of View : The story began with a boy named Carl Fredricksen who is shy and quiet met energetic and outgoing girl named Ellie. They shared same interest in exploration. Carl has promised Ellie to move her clubhouse to Paradise Falls at South Africa. When they grew up, they fell in love and married. Unfortunately, they unable to have child and this make their life seems missing a piece. They have tried to save money to make the exploration dream came true but many incidents happened throughout their life. When they finally able to start up their trip, Ellie died at old age and left Carl lonely in their house. He missed his lovely wife so much and he became a grumpy old man. He even refused to move when his housing area undergo construction. Russell, an explorer, appeared in front of Carl's house trying to earn his final merit badge-Assisting the Elderly. This weirdo Carl made Russell go away using strange excuse.

Carl still wished to keep his promise for Ellie, he used his professional supplies to create a airship using lots of helium balloons which lift his house off its foundations. In the middle of high sky, someone knocked on his door and this was Russell. Carl has no options, so he have to let Russell joined his private jet and they have started their adventure journey.

Pixar come out another great animation that I have been waiting for. Due to cost awareness, I choose to watch this 2D version. Somehow the movie began dully and it started to become alive when the house has been lifted up by thousand of balloons. I felt excited for Carl that he going to fulfill his wife's dream. The story was full of comedy, love and touching moments. Carl was a lonely old man who love and miss his wife so much. He couldn't forget his wife and he didn't want to open his heart for others. During his journey, he began to accept Russell, a talking dog, Dug and a colourful bird, Kevin. He even gave up his house to rescue his new friends. God has seen his changes and his action of surrender the house has fulfill Ellie's dream and it just landed at the Paradise Falls as the picture. The most touching part was when Carl continued to read Ellie's scrapbook, he found out that Ellie has changed her dream after she married to Carl. Ellie felt thankful that Carl has made her life journey full of adventure. I felt so touch for their love. Photobucket

I got notice on Pixar films during Toy Story in Year 1995 and it never disappointed me. Up definitely a successful box office and it's all about the story first, the strong characters next then animation just going about getting the job done. "If we have a great story, we'll do a sequel", said John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Pixar. I looking forward for Toy Story 3 in June 18, 2010. You guys must watch this movie. Photobucket
